Terry Gilliam

I love this guy’s movies. But I first fell in love with his art on Monty Python. He poked fun at almost everything. Using art. I laughed my guts out. Which he could easily have illustrated. And probably did. He’s the kind of artist that makes you laugh so hard, you fart. And that’s quite a compliment.

Almost without colour. Without expression. No read. Neutered. Without a blemish. Scar. No signs. And yet Oleg manages to convey a vast number of emotions in the face that one would not expect. The portraits look like they come from another time. A future time. Perhaps. Some renaissance period. Where the parameters of life have not been set by the arts. But by science. Love this work.
