Till Rabus

Dali had his limp clocks. Rabus has his rubber cars. Everything is flexible. Lot of fun in this guy’s work.

Die Vögel: Fratzengulasch

This is undoubtedly one of the funniest and clever little videos I have seen. It is all collage and film. And the music. It’s hillarious. What a way to begin your weekend.

Like a tumour in your head

12 08 2011

This is one creepy video. The visuals are unbelievable but the voice. I have a constant buzz inside my head. Caused by my tumour. The voice sounds like a tumour in your head. Don’t let your kids watch it. This video was createdby Niles Atallah, Cristobal Leon & Joaquin Cociña

Ludovica Gioscia

12 08 2011

Ludovica Gioscia has a beautiful name. She does a lot of work as you can see on her sight. The pieces I am focussing on is the face coverings. In her case she has reinvented the faces. Beneath the mask. The skin. The skull. Pouring out personality/character in great globs of wet paint.

Vladimir Kush

12 08 2011

Vladimir Kush’s work is very impressive. It is lush, beautiful, and full of delightful surprises. He has been packaged to sell. But the salesmanship is pretentious. It is all the things you hate in art. And yet his work is lovely. How to marry the two worlds. I don’t. I look at his work with wonder, some envy, and astonishment.  What a talent. I almost expect his work to be on black velvet.

Eric White

12 08 2011

Eric White is an extraordinary artist. His work is strange. Filled with figures from movies. Sometimes stars. But sometimes minor figures, B actors that you will recognize. But if you look into more of his work you find that he has range. And its all oil paint. Almost looks like collage with photo shop. And he grew up in Ann Arbor. Probably while I was a student at the University of Windsor. He never dropped by.
